±15 VDC or +24 VDC In, VDC or 4-20 mA Out
The Sentech DC/DC RVDT Sensor includes an integrated electronics with an AC/AC coil. DC/DC RVDTs feature the same non-contact type construction and durability, stationary coil and rotating sensing element on the shaft as Sentech’s AC/AC RVDTs. The DC/DC converter sensor shaft is supported at both ends by precision ball bearings (ABEC class 7) minimizing friction in DC current and voltage sensors.
The stable oscillator drives the primary and a precision demodulator and state-of-the-art filter produce smooth DC output voltage. The output unaffected by power supply variations can be connected directly to a meter, op amp or data acquisition board.
Sentech has models with ±15 V DC or 24 V DC input and offers either DC voltage output or 4-20 mA DC current output.
Mechanically capable of rotating continuously, RVDT offers linear measurement up to ±70º. Within ±45º, linearity is less than ±0.5% of Full Scale. There are two linear regions 180º apart. Sentech calibrates one of the two regions and marks its corresponding null position. Every Sentech RVDT is magnetically shielded greatly reducing outside influence on the output.
Sentech also offers different diameter housings for RVDTs from 1” to 1.5” dia. with either aluminum or stainless steel housing. Combined with their rugged construction, Sentech DC/DC RVDTs offer high performance and reliability while resisting the shocks and vibrations occurring in most industrial environments.
